Transport your low-risk dangerous goods safely and efficiently with our Excepted Quantity (EQ) self-paced online training course. Specially designed to comply with the IATA regulations and approved by CASA Australia, our EQ training allows you to ship small quantities of dangerous goods that meet specific low-risk thresholds (excepted quantities).
Excepted Quantity Dangerous Goods are small amounts of dangerous goods that are exempt from many of the typical regulatory requirements for shipping dangerous goods. These exemptions apply because the quantities being shipped are so small that they pose a very low risk during transport.
Dangerous Goods in excepted quantities must still be properly packaged and labelled, but the regulations are less strict compared to larger quantities. Proper packaging, including absorbent materials and strong outer containers, is still required to contain any potential leaks or spills.
Common examples of products that potentially can be shipped under the Excepted Quantity limits: nail polish, essential oils, bottles containing a small amount of corrosive substances as preservative for water sample testing.
Ensure the safe and compliant air transport of your dangerous goods while minimising risks and costs with our specialised training package ‘Dangerous Goods by Air: Excepted Quantities’.
