Dangerous Goods by Sea – Initial Acceptance

Who Should Enrol?

• Shore-based personnel involved in packing dangerous goods (including loading or unloading containers (cargo transport units)), marking, labelling, placarding, or preparing and signing dangerous goods transport documents (MO41) must complete the function-specific training.
• Freight forwarders, consolidators handling sea freight, and anyone shipping dangerous goods by sea—this course is also for you.

Course Content

• Introduction to the Regulations;
• Classification;
• Identification;
• Packing and Packaging;
• Marking, Labelling and Placarding;
• Documentation, the MO41;
• Segregation;
• Packing of containers (Cargo Transport Units, CTU’s).
