The function of the environmentally hazardous substance label is to communicate the hazard(s) that are contained within that package. The label(s) must be applied to the outside of the package and shall remain in place for (at least) the duration of the transport. The environmentally hazardous substance label shall be applied with an accompanying label, depending on the mode of transport. For airfreight this label will have to be applied in combination with the class 9 miscellaneous hazard label, for sea freight it depends on the class/division shipped.
Dimensions of the label (in mm): 100 x 100, with 500 self-adhesive labels per roll. Compliant with airfreight and sea freight dangerous goods labelling requirements.
Note that for road freight as per Australian Dangerous Goods Code special provision AU01, environmentally hazardous substances are not subject to the code (road and rail) in packagings, IBC’s or other receptacles not exceeding 500kg/L.
Disclaimer: the actual label may differ from the image provided; supplied labels are compliant with applicable regulations (IATA, IMDG, ADGC, AEC and RPSC-2).
