Upcoming Changes in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for 2026
As the aviation industry gears up for 2026, the 67th edition of IATA’s Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), effective January 1, introduces over 350 updates for enhanced safety. The document reflects main changes; as you should be aware of, all changes and new additions to the Regulations are indicated by the triangle (🔼) and the square (⏹️) icon in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Key changes include State and Operator variations, the standardisation of wordings used in the variations. Recommendations have been introduced regarding the use and charging of power banks and spare batteries in the cabin.
